
This is my first week posting. Yeah! I chose the above pic because it shows the reason why I've stayed interested in running in downtown
OKC and why I've started posting here. I love the
juxtaposition of downtown
OKC. The contrast between the newly
remodeled homes and the old sometimes
decrepit boarded up homes. This pic was taken a few blocks from St. Anthony's Hospital and my son's private school. The neighborhood had gotten so bad in 2003 that St. Anthony's was considering leaving until the city stepped in and gave them some financial benefits to stay. The nieghborhood still has some issues and I'm always a little bit scared when I run there, but I still love it. I just make sure I have my mace with me.
