The kids and I stayed at the Skirvin hotel for Independence Day. The hotel is very old and very luxurious. Needless to say the kids and I had a very good time. My favorite part of the hotel were the happy faces on on the columns in the lobby.

Happy Independence Day!!! I was supposed to be enjoying the South Padre fireworks display in Texas, but Alex the Hurricane made me cancel my plans. So me and the kiddos will be staying at the Skirvin Hotel tonight, pictured above, while we enjoy some swimming and the downtown fireworks. The hotel is rumored to be haunted...oohhh.... My daughter doesn't want to go... I'm gonna have so much fun scaring the crap out of her.
