Lucky Shot

 

I love driving or riding around in the car and looking at stuff. You might say it is a favorite indulgence of mine - I often choose my routes based on what I feel like looking at along the way. One day, on my way home I decided to experiment by holding my camera in one hand and randomly taking shots out the window as I drove along. My hope was that I might catch something that looks like what I see while I'm driving, hopefully with interesting framing. (Obviously, I was not looking through the lens. That would be dumb.) I got a lot of pictures of blurry telephone poles and signage and just a couple that I really liked. This is one of them. I can't tell you where it is; it was of one of those places that you don't even pay attention to as you drive past - I really like the van and the colors in this shot. Yep, I did that on purpose. Uh-huh.
